Our Story…

As an ISO 9001:2000 certified company, TIFCO Gage & Gear designs and manufactures precision masters and gages, gears, splines, shafts, and collets. These components are produced for the aerospace, defense, automotive, marine, agricultural and construction industries. Our work orbits with NASA, powers the fuel pumps on many aircraft, drives with the Big Three, crawls with Caterpillar® and sails with the Navy. We provide world-class solutions to the most demanding applications, tapping the expertise that only comes from decades of proven performance.

Since first opening our doors in 1963, ongoing upgrades and investments in new technology have resulted in TIFCO’s industry-leading manufacturing capabilities. Through the practice of continuous quality improvement, or Kaizen, the implementation of Six Sigma principles of business process improvement, and lean manufacturing techniques designed to eliminate non-value-added production activities to streamline workflow and enhance overall quality, TIFCO is dedicated to faster, better results. To this end, most machining activities are performed on state-of-the-art precision CNC tools. Concurrently, the entire manufacturing process is managed by a software-driven ERP system that utilizes start-to-finish bar code tracking and incorporates production integration and planning to further enhance production and meet, or exceed, customer expectations and schedules.
